BIOGRAPHY: The Nation’s premiere all male Bollywood/Fusion Dance troupe, The Wanted Ashiqz, started out in 2002 as a non-competitive team composed of just five individuals who shared one common interest. Over the years, that common interest has transformed into a passion for dance, which led the small team of five into a brotherhood of many. Their artistic repertoire includes a fusion of various traditional Indian dance forms as well as western styles. What they are most known for, however, is their dynamic integration of Hip Hop into a predominately Bollywood Filmi dance style.

During the past 9 years, the Wanted Ashiqz have placed in numerous intercollegiate and independent dance competitions. Their most memorable wins are from 2009, when they became the best Fusion/Bollywood dance team in the nation by winning first place in the Best of the Best dance competition in California. Last year, the team won a National Championship and became the first ever Filmi-Fusion Bollywood America 2010 Champions. Recently, they became the first Bollywood dance team to ever compete on the prestigious World of Dance platform and not only grab Second Place but along with the Best Costume, Best Theme and The Most Crowd Favorite Awards. Every time the Wanted Ashiqz perform, it’s not for the trophy or the monetary prize but for the sheer thrill and entertainment of what really matters, to entertain and win the hearts of the audience!
