Mitchell Grey

NAMES: Ryan Bandong, Matt Pana, Napon Pintong, Joseph Diaz

BIOGRAPHY: Mitchell Grey began with singer/songwriter Ryan Bandong (vocals), as he started his journey in music as a rapper, learning how to create songs using tremendous and clever wordplay. Not too long after, he picked up a guitar and started to take a chance at singing. Realizing he had greater potential elsewhere, he decided to keep going. He began posting YouTube videos in 2009, and started gaining scores of supporters with over 20,000 subscribers to date.

Drawing comparisons to Mat Kearny and Ben Harper, his sound is truly a unique blend of pop, rock, and soul. In 2010, he released his first EP entitled “Surrounded By White Walls” produced by Jesse Barrera (My American Heart). The album would become one of the most anticipated releases within the YouTube artist community.

As Ryan’s music evolved, so did his sound. Little did he realize that this evolution was the birth of something greater than anybody could have imagined. With the help of his friends, he formed a band, and Mitchell Grey was born.

Mitchell Grey (derived from Ryan’s middle name) began taking shape with the addition of fellow Youtube artist Napon Pintong (bass), one of the founding members of the group. Matt Pana (drums) and Joseph Diaz (guitar) followed soon after, contributing their over 5 years of experience in the New York and New Jersey indie scene.

With a sound similar to popular bands such as The Script and OneRepublic, Mitchell Grey showcases a new direction, a more mature style influenced by both Alternative Rock and R&B. Almost immediately after they announced their formation of the band, they have played throughout major colleges in Portland, San Diego, Oklahoma, Florida, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, Toronto and their native New York City.

Mitchell Grey has grown with unmatched potential, and the future faces of the New York City music scene are ready to take the world by storm.
