Cheryl Chin

NAMES: Cheryl Chin

BIOGRAPHY: Cheryl Chin was often seen singing to herself at home or while walking through junior high school hallways ever since she was a child. She finally received an audience throughout high school and college when she brought her love for singing to the stage in school musicals and in a cappella groups such as Shine at New York University. Since then she’s sung and played piano for years at church, weddings, and most recently, at gigs like the Kollaboration NY Open Mic Benefit Show.

Starting out as a singer songwriter in 2010, Cheryl writes music that is genuine and empowering with an indie, alternative and pop sound. Musical influences growing up have been Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, The Cranberries, Sarah McLachlan, Bjork, Imogen Heap, Lauryn Hill, Feist, Brook Fraser, and Misty Edwards. Cheryl is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at New York University.
